Travis Meier (he/him) is an activist, biblical scholar and theologian, ordained pastor, husband to Kristen, and a dad to 2 amazing little humans. While currently serving as Senior Pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in downtown Nashville, Travis is a frequent figure at the Tennessee state capitol advocating for the rights of others, engages meaningfully in the community, and never says no to an opportunity to advocate and agitate for change. Travis holds an M.Div. at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, with an emphasis in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Texas A&M University. Travis is a certified Level II, Advanced Kingian Nonviolence Leadership Trainer and is certified in NeuroSomatic Intelligence Foundational Training. He recently launched a leadership and personal coaching practice: UnMired - For Folks Who Give A Damn.
